Happy Halloween, for real this time.

My new school/district won't let us celebrate Halloween, and Wes is in Philly for work this week, so I had to get the holiday out of my system this weekend.  Here are some shots of our spooky weekend!
Wes brought back Waldo and the plan was for me to be Carmen Sandiego - get it?  Anyway, time and budget restrictions got the best of my Halloween spirit, so nerd it was.  I'm not surprised that Waldo dates a dork though, are you?  Wes surprised me with the AWESOME shirt I'm wearing.  Stay tuned for a better shot in an upcoming post!
Bitch.  Juuuuuust kidding.  Don't you hate it when someone steals your costume idea?!  Wes is such a good sport.
This is what happens when you grow up in a dance studio.  I made him do something very manly after this...
riiiiiiiight.
I just can't get enough of this picture.  Sarcasm at it's best.
I've had enough.

Vitamin C for me, please!

You can stop looking. We found it! The BEST OJ around. Feast your eyes on Tropicana 50. Do yourself a favor; stop at Wegmans and pick some up! Everybody needs a little Vit. C in their life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

That's him talking to me (Jaime) on the phone tonight. Wish I could be there!
P.s. just because we bought you a Red Sox hat doesn't mean we endorse the team. Well, not me at least. Go YANKEES!

Slackers

So sorry for the lack of consistent posts lately. We still don't have Internet access in our apt. (hopefully going in next week!) and while Starbucks has been our best friend, busy work schedules have prevented us from visiting. Soooooo, don't give up on us; we love our readers...we'll be back in action very soon!

It's a Wedding Weekend!

We're heading home tomorrow evening to celebrate the matrimony of our good friends Ben & Joanne!  Turns out, it's also the nuptials of Adam and Amber, Jaime's cousin and fiancee.  A 2 for 1!

Check out some pics of the happy couple...

Love them.
Seriously, they are a fantastic couple.
Like, a totally RAD couple.
This way to the wedding!!!
Cheers!  To Ben & Joanne and Adam & Amber!  We hope your special day is everything you you've hoped for and more!

Clarendon Day!

A few weeks ago, we stumbled upon a festival in our local neighborhood!  Think Park Ave. Fest but with all local vendors.  Great food, cervezas and music - a.k.a. the perfect day.
Who doesn't love a festival?
Balloons make everything happier.

Check out the tables at The Burger Joint.  Each table was unique!  The table we sat at was Bubble Yum themed - sorry, no picture because it was covered with deeeelicious food!

The local music was FANTASTIC.  I'll get back to you on the band names...FAN.TASTIC.

Wes, enjoying the tunes.

Look at the GIANT bouncy house Maze!  Apparently we were too old to participate.  :(

Happy. Happy.

P.s. I accidentally deleted the picture of the Irish Dancers we watched.  The main reason for originally including the picture was because of the accompanying quote:  Wes:  "It's amazing how curly they get their hair!" He was serious.  (insert image of Jaime shaking her head).

Goggles

Real-life Conversation:
Jaime (while unpacking a box of misc. items):  "Wes, why did you pack goggles?"
Wes:  "For us to use."
Jaime:  "Um, when?"
Wes:  "When we go swimming."
Jaime:  "Why?"
Wes:  "So we can see underwater"
Jaime (after a long pause):  "Ok, I don't need goggles, but thanks."

Oh LuLuLemon, you have turned a corner..a dark dark corner

After spending the afternoon at the Clarendon Day festival (which will be talked about in an up and coming post) we decided to take a quick detour into LuLuLemon to do some harmless "browsing". This browsing quickly turned into a purchase.  A weatherproof jacket to battle all the elements that one might encounter on a 45 minute walk to and from work. Of course, as common practice would have it,  said item was placed into a shopping bag after check out and we were on our merry way. Little did we know what message our bag was sharing with the good people of the Clarendon and Court House neighborhoods... After returning to the apartment we sat at the kitchen table and picked each others jaws up off the ground as we read one of the "inspirational messages"(???) that was printed on the bag, and judging by the font, not to be missed. Our immediate feelings were shock, disbelief and serious bewilderment.... As we came to find out this bag is not allowed within 100 feet of any school (or Chuck-e-Cheese), so Jaime won't be carting any school materials in this bag any time soon.
