The sun was out and so were we, this weekend! We found some beautiful new spots in Georgetown and took a step back in history at Arlington Cemetery.
Beautiful Georgetown from the Key Bridge, which connects Arlington to DC. The bridge is actually a short walk, down a bike path, from our apartment. |
We spotted our first African American Leprechaun by the river. |
Check out this store window. Literally, floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall antique sewing machines! |
Georgetown is full of beautiful streets with some killer hills. |
I think I can. I think I can. |
We were actually looking at the creek, which was about 15 feet ahead. :) |
We found a chill outdoor restaurant/bar on the Potomac. Very basic - 3 menu choices (we split the burger and the crab cake sandwich) and your standard bar choices. It felt like something you would find in a beach town like Key West or dare we say...the Jersey Shore. |
It was there where we spotted another rare leprechaun. Unbelievable! |
Today, we had to go to Bed Bath and Beyond for a few things, but Arlington Cemetery is 2 stops before on the Metro, so we decided to take a quick tour. |
We were just in time for the changing of the guards. |
Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy week ahead. Keep an eye out for strange looking leprechauns! |
